Jobs that I have before: I was a waitress, silver service staff, camera operator, babysitter, apprentice for a theatre company, barista, kid's photographer. But its only now that I can say that my job is real. Although I know that I'm still far from stability, a sense of contentment inside my heart and passion is what matters at the moment.

I work for Manila Times, a broadsheet here in the Philippines as one of their staff photographers. I'm immensely enjoying every single day of work. I photograph events that can be part of my country's history, I meet politicians, I can mingle with people on the street, I can go places all because I have a camera and I'm obliged to document events and personalities.

I never really thought I'll end up working as a photographer. It was my 3 year stay in London that I got to realize that I want to take pictures and a few encouragement from my course tutors. I'm now loving the job, the work relationship with my colleagues, the new things that I learn and every great new experience.


I still have a long way to go before I can be called a "photojournalist." But I thank God that eventhough I left for half a year my job still welcomes me with open arms. My pay may not make me rich but I guess in life you really have to go with what makes you happy. :)
